Saham Amin, 21, jailed for six years and eight months after sickening attack at his Stourbridge home

A former factory worker has been jailed for raping a 14 year old girl and for abusing her 13 year old friend in a sickening child sexual exploitation case. Twisted Saham Amin aged  21 plied the youngsters with with booze before attacking them at his Stourbridge home. The pervert of Balds Lane, Lye has now been jailed for six years and eight months after pleading guilty to raping the older girl and sexually assaulting her younger friend.
Wolverhampton Crown Court heard that Amin preyed on the 14 year old girl for around a year before the assault when they came into contact through a mutual friend. On September 24th last 2014 he sent a text message and asked her if she wanted to go to his house for a `drinking session`. The teen arrived at his house with her younger friend and the two were plied with two thirds of a litre bottle of vodka and given cigarettes by Amin, who then went on to sexually assault the youngest girl, before raping the older girl. He initially denied the allegations but later admitted the offences in light of the medical evidence and the girls` testimonies against him. As well as being jailed, he will be placed on the Sex Offenders Register for life.
Detective Sergeant Kay Redfearn from the forces` Public Protection Unit, said "This was a complex case involving two very scared young girls, as with most victims of child sexual exploitation they were reluctant to give details at first as they were fearful of repercussions, however, through a series of sensitively carried out interviews with specialist officers, we were able to gain their trust and their cooperation, which was vital in securing a conviction against Amin, I would lie to thank them for their bravery and I hope that this sentence goes some way in helping them move forward with their young lives, we are satisfied with the sentence handed down to Amin, which sees him being taken out of the community for considerable amount of time, and he will be unable to exploit other young girls, sexual abuse is an abhorrent  crime which we are committed to stamping out, we hope that this case shows that we take all reports of child sexual exploitation extremely seriously, giving other victims the confidence to come forward, and safe in the knowledge that they will be listened to, supported and and protected from future abuse".
West Midlands Police, along with Dudley, Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Walsall, Coventry, Birmingham, Solihull Councils and partner organisations said that they are working together to raise the profile of child sexual exploitation to keep vulnerable girls safe.
