Angel Lodge immigration centre will house upto 300 immigrants at a time mainly from Africa and Asia, they are being brought to Wakefield via Gatwick Airport to be 'processed' prior to being moved to accommodation within the Wakefield district. Once in the immigration centre these immigrants will receive free NHS healthcare, such things like, free blood tests, free pregnancy tests, chest x-rays, and so on. These immigrants claim asylum from war torn countries sometimes the victims of the previous Government's meddling in their country's affairs, but that doesn't stop them claiming asylum in the next safe country, it doesn't mean they have to cross 25/30 countrys and the English Channel & the North Sea to come to soft touch Britain.

There are many homeless ex- servicemen & women living rough on the streets and this centre would be ideal for them, after all they have served this country with pride, some are suffering from PTSD after serving in conflicts.
The question on everyone's lips should be;
* Where is the money coming from,
* Who is paying for it,
* The social housing is at breaking point, so where will these immigrants live when they have been 'processed'.
* Why didn't the authorities inform the residents of Wakefield district about this.
Final thought.
People have and still are working damn hard to pay their bills, to keep a roof over their heads for their families, they pay tax, and most of all they pay national insurance towards the NHS so they can receive healthcare. Will these immigrants be screened for AIDS, TB, HIV and any other disease that could be brought to these shores ?.
