Labour Party councillor suspended for attacking his girlfriend.

Councillor Dan Young has been suspended by the Labour Party after assaulting his girlfriend

Dan Young, 24, accepted a caution for Common Assault following the October 31st incident in Romford, Essex, he then stepped down from the position of Chairman of `London young Labour` a month ago. It has come to light that his membership of the Labour Party has been suspended. A spokesperson for the Labour Party said, "Following further investigations, Dan Young has been suspended" He could not confirm when the suspension had taken place. The Metropolitan Police were called to Western Road in Romford town centre at 3am October 31st to what was described as a `Domestic Assault`, "a 24 year old man was arrested at the scene for Common Assault against a 19 year old woman and was taken to an East London police station" a police spokesman said.
