Moslem 'Groomers' sent to Crown Court.

A GANG of 12 men have appeared in court charged with a string of sexual offences against a young girl.

The men appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court on Tuesday 3rd June following a protracted investigation by the Leeds District Safeguarding Unit.

Their case was sent to Leeds Crown Court where all 12 men will appear in the dock on June 17 for a preliminary hearing.

Nasir Sultan, 24 of Leeds, is charged with three counts of rape of a girl aged 13-15.

Amir Zaman, 24 of Leeds is charged with four counts of penetrative sexual activity with a child.

Awais Butt, 31, of Leeds is charged with sexual activity with a child and attempting to supply a class B drug.

Farakh Younis, 23, of Leeds is charged with sexual activity with a child.

Junaid Rashid, 21, of Leeds is charged with inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Tariq Islam, 20, of Leeds is charged two counts and sexual touching of a girl aged 13 and kidnap.

Shazabe Hussain, 20, of Leeds and Javed Uddin, 20, of Leeds are charged with penetration of a 13 year old.

Asif Khan and Zehn Mahmood, both aged 19 and from Leeds, are charged with two counts of inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Abid Younis, 34, of Beeston, Leeds is charged with four counts of sexual activity with a child

Arshid Younis, 29, of Beeston, Leeds is charged with two counts of sexual activity with a child and offering to supply a Class A drug.

Eleven of the men were granted unconditional bail.

Speaking at the time the men were charged, Chief Superintendent Paul Money, District Commander for Leeds, said: “The alleged offences relate to one, female juvenile victim from the local community and follow a protracted investigation which began in October 2012.”
