WAKEFIELD COUNCIL'S SHAME.

Say No To Mandela Square.

Nelson Mandela has no links in any way, shape or form to the City of Wakefield or it's people. The Communist Councillors in the upper echelons of power at Wakefield Council have decided to spend vast amounts of taxpayers money on a 'lasting' memorial to Nelson Mandela. The money that will be spent could be put to much greater use in the deprived areas of the Wakefield District, which is feeling the pinch of harsh austerity and the regions poor economic growth, the hard-pressed tax payers of this district must not foot the bill for what many personally see as extremely poor judgement of character and taste for the victims of Mr Mandela's bloody acts of terrorism towards not only white Afrikaners but also black South Africans.

Crown Court Yard, if re-named should be dedicated to one of Wakefield's own sons or daughters.

Below is a short-list of much more worthy local candidates with concrete links and history to Wakefield and the area.

David Topliss

Stan Barstow

George Gissing

Henry Clarke

Charles Waterton

"Prophet" John Wroe

John Carr

John Harrison

As stated above, the locals with links and raised in the Wakefield area are clearly more suited to the re-naming of the Crown Court Yard, these famous people of Wakefield have clean moral standards compared to Nelson Mandela who has committed heinous acts of violence and murder upon innocent Africans black and white.
Re-naming the Crown Court Yard after Nelson Mandela is an extremely poorly judged and an ill-thought out idea, take a look at his crimes.
The hero of the Anti-Apartheid struggle was not the Saint he was considered to be.

The image of Nelson Mandela as a selfless, humble, freedom fighter turned cheerful, kindly old man, is well established in the West. If there is any international leader on whom we can universally heap praise it is surely he. But get past the halo we’ve placed on him without his permission, and Nelson Mandela had more than a few flaws which deserve attention.

He signed off on the deaths of innocent people, lots of them

Nelson Mandela was the head of UmKhonto we Sizwe, (MK), the terrorist wing of the ANC and South African Communist Party. At his trial, he had pleaded guilty to 156 acts of public violence including mobilising terrorist bombing campaigns, which planted bombs in public places, including the Johannesburg railway station. Many innocent people, including women and children, were killed by Nelson Mandela’s MK terrorists. Here are some highlights

-Church Street West, Pretoria, on the 20 May 1983

-Amanzimtoti Shopping complex KZN, 23 December 1985

-Krugersdorp Magistrate’s Court, 17 March 1988

-Durban Pick ‘n Pay shopping complex, 1 September 1986

-Pretoria Sterland movie complex 16 April 1988 – limpet mine killed ANC terrorist M O Maponya instead

-Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court, 20 May 1987

-Roodepoort Standard Bank 3 June, 1988

Tellingly, not only did Mandela refuse to renounce violence, Amnesty refused to take his case stating “[the] movement recorded that it could not give the name of ‘Prisoner of Conscience’ to anyone associated with violence, even though as in ‘conventional warfare’ a degree of restraint may be exercised.”
So Nelson Mandela was part of a Communist killing machine which has brutally murdered well over 120million people in the last 100 years.
This man is a disgrace and his name is not welcome in Wakefield.
Final Thought.

This could be seen as a vanity exercise from out of touch Councillors with heavy leanings and favour to Communism and it's activists, and they have no right to do this as they are the public servants and should be championing famous local people from the area and not murderers of innocent men women and children regardless of colour.

What's Next:
The Gardens of Martin McGuinness
Pol Pot Plaza

This is ridiculous and in serious bad taste for all victims of terrorism.

WAKEFIELD COUNCIL;
HANG YOUR HEADS IN SHAME !!
